Annotation

This monograph explores issues related to the functioning of the supplementary education system and children's camps. It presents paradigms for psychological and pedagogical support in this area of ​​education. A classification of children's health camps is provided, along with their educational functions. The development of the Artek International Children's Center as a unique model for children's recreation is examined. Considerable attention is paid to issues of education for sustainable development. It characterizes active environmental education as a model for sustainable development. A brief overview of the camp's history, the evolution of its goals and principles, and the camp's pedagogical potential are presented.
