International and national indices are an important tool for monitoring the processes that take place in youth environment. Data on Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States are included in most of the international indices. In the Commonwealth space national indicators are also being developed, the measurement of which is based on key areas for the implementation of youth policy in these countries. This analytical report considers the experience of the CIS Member States in developing youth wellbeing and development indices, describes the methods for their calculation.
