The International Forum on the Development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Technologies in the CIS countries was held in Samarkand.

The forum was attended by delegations from the Commonwealth countries, as well as more than 100 industry leaders, young professionals, representatives of IT companies and experts from:

- Of Azerbaijan;

- Armenia;

- Belarus;

- Of Kazakhstan;

- Kyrgyzstan;

- Russia;

- Tajikistan;

- Turkmenistan;

- Uzbekistan.

This year , the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly approved the model law on artificial intelligence technologies . The document was developed by specialists from the Joint Institute of Computer Science Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Belarus, who won an open competition in May 2023.

The law regulates public relations at all stages of working with AI technologies, from design to maintenance. The document outlines the tasks of state regulation, defines the competencies of government authorities, the rights of developers and researchers, as well as approaches to data collection and protection. Special attention is paid to international cooperation in the field of AI. The law is recommended for use in the legislation of the Commonwealth countries.
