The head of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, V. Falkov, delivered a welcoming speech, saying, in particular:
"Many of the foreign graduates of Russian universities make up the scientific and teaching elite of their countries. They hold responsible positions in government, the educational system, and business structures. We are proud that the leaders of foreign countries, trained at Soviet and Russian universities, are now building a common future with Russia – a new multipolar world."
The head of Rossotrudnichestvo, E. Primakov, and representatives of the Russian
and foreign government authorities, heads of domestic universities, as well as Ambassadors of Russian education and science.
Tomorrow, on the second day of the Forum, there will be a number of events already within the walls of RTU MIREA. In particular, the plenary session will discuss "Experience and new areas of cooperation with foreign graduates in a changing world."
We would like to add that the international forum of representatives of alumni associations is organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation jointly with the World Association of Graduates of Higher Educational Institutions and RTU MIREA. It is attended by more than 100 representatives of foreign alumni associations from 50 countries, including the CIS, Asia, Africa, Europe, the Middle East and Latin America.
