V Congress of Young Scientists

The V Congress of Young Scientists was held at the Sirius Educational Center as part of the Decade of Science and Technology from November 25 to 28.

The events were attended by more than 8000 participants from 89 regions of the Russian Federation and 100 foreign countries, including representatives of 480 Russian and 44 foreign universities.

The key theme of the congress: "The energy of science: from the potential of knowledge to the creation of the future."

During the event, advanced developments were presented: from the conversion of sounds into visual images to a scanning system for evading space debris. Scientific breakthroughs in robotics, healthcare and other fields are also shown.

The program includes four thematic platforms:

- "Big challenges: the momentum of development";

- "Initiatives of the Decade of Science and Technology in Russia: energy of generations";

- "The potential of the future: human resources, tools and infrastructure";

- "Fields of interaction: international cooperation".

Within the framework of the V Congress of Young Scientists, for the first time, the Union State Prize was awarded to young scientists for research results in the field of natural sciences, engineering and humanities.
