The forum was held in Minsk on September 15-16.
The event brought together about 600 participants, including representatives of:
- public administration bodies;
- public associations;
- scientific and pedagogical community;
- educational institutions;
- search and military-patriotic clubs.
The main goals and objectives of the forum were:
- presentation of best practices in the field of patriotic education;
- discussion of youth initiatives to preserve the historical memory of the Great Patriotic War;
- strengthening interagency cooperation in the field of patriotic education of the younger generation;
- preservation and popularization of the legacy of the Great Victory.
The program included discussion platforms, an exhibition and presentation of successful practices and projects in the field of patriotic education of youth, reports on preserving the historical memory of the Great Patriotic War, an exhibition of weapons, military and special equipment, and finds of 52 separate specialized search battalions.
The organizers of the forum are the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Defense and the Republican Center for Ecology and Local Lore of the Republic of Belarus.
