The goal of the seminar is to engage youth leaders from CIS member states in a dialogue on preserving the historical memory of World War II and the Great Patriotic War and to support their activities aimed at preserving the historical memory of World War II and the Great Patriotic War.
In 2025, the seminar will be dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Soviet people's victory in the Great Patriotic War and coincide with the Year of the 80th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War – the Year of Peace and Unity in the Fight against Nazism – declared in the Commonwealth of Independent States.

The seminar is part of the 2025–2026 Action Plan for the implementation of the CIS International Youth Cooperation Strategy for 2021–2030 and is being held jointly by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "MIREA – Russian Technological University," which serves as the CIS Basic Organization for Youth Work, and the National Council of Youth and Children's Associations of Russia.
