The theme for 2025 is "Youth realizing sustainable development goals on the ground." This highlights the unique role of young people in local planning and decision-making. A special place in this is given to the regional authorities.
According to the UN, when local authorities create conditions for innovation, mentoring and youth participation, it not only accelerates the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, but also helps to educate a new generation of leaders.
