Biography

Irina Borisovna Shilina is the Dean of the Faculty of Social Communication at the Moscow State University of Psychology and Education (MSUPPE) and a professor in the Department of Social Communication and Youth Work.

She graduated from Moscow State Pedagogical University in 1989 with a degree in Geography and Biology, qualifying as a secondary school teacher of geography and biology. She holds a Doctor of Historical Sciences (specialization 07.00.02, Russian History) and a Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences (specialization 13.00.02, Theory and Methods of Teaching and Education). He is the head of the educational and methodological center "Organization of work with youth" of the Federal Educational and Methodological Association for the State Educational and Scientific Foundation "Sociology and social work", is a member of the working group for the development of the professional standard "Specialist in work with youth", is an expert of the Federal Educational and Methodological Association for the State Educational and Scientific Foundation 44.00.00 Education and pedagogical sciences, an expert of the "Leader of the 21st Century" competition, an expert of the Russian Movement of Children and Youth "Movement of the First", a federal expert of additional professional development programs, a co-opted member of the Governing Council of State Budgetary Educational Institution School No. 1948 "Linguist-M", a co-opted member of the Governing Council of State Budgetary Educational Institution School No. 1448, a member of the Union of DPO (Union of Heads of Institutions and Units of Additional Professional Education and Employers), a member of the Russian Geographical Society.

Irina Borisovna has received the following awards and honorary titles: the title of "Honorary Professor," a Letter of Gratitude from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation "For Contribution to the Development of Practice-Oriented Education in the Russian Federation within the Framework of the Service-Learning Program," the G.I. Chelpanov Honorary Medal (2nd Class) "For Contribution to the Development of Psychological Science," the honorary title of "Honorary Worker of Education of the Russian Federation," a letter of gratitude from the rector for active participation in the activities of MSUPE, the "Golden Ψ" honorary badge for services to the development of the university, a certificate from the Moscow Department of Education, a medal for contribution to the development of local self-government from the Russian Municipal Academy, and a medal "In Memory of the 850th Anniversary of the City of Moscow."

Professional interests: youth policy, youth tourism, theory and practice of management in higher education, interdepartmental cooperation in working with youth, social work with various categories of the population, as well as continuing education in Russia and abroad.
